The MQ-28 Ghost Bat is an uncrewed collaborative combat aircraft built by Boeing Defence Australia for the Royal Australian Air Force, described by Australia’s defence industry minister as the first combat aircraft designed and built in the country in 50 years. In December 2025, teamed with an E-7A Wedgetail and an F/A-18F Super Hornet, it fired an AIM-120 AMRAAM and destroyed a target drone over Woomera.

We made this film on our own initiative, without a client or brief, to test how we would present crewed-uncrewed teaming, a capability that lives mostly in data links and is hard to show on screen. The film opens with the aircraft on the ground and builds toward the teaming concept, an F-35 networked with several MQ-28s. Spec overlays carry the numbers through most shots, and a see-through view of the airframe exposes the engine so the internal layout reads at a glance.
